Jho0001 Neutral Newbie May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 Does anyone know whether you can use NCB on two vechicles registered in your own name or does it only apply to one vehicle and you have to start at zero NCB with the 2nd vehicle? Lloh108 Neutral Newbie May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 It's tied to the car. I have 2 cars under my name with differnt NCB.
Chucky2007 Turbocharged May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 (edited) yr avatar nice... so meaning one car NCB 50%, another is 0%? Edited May 17, 2007 by Chucky2007
Jho0001 Neutral Newbie May 17, 2007 Author Share May 17, 2007 Thats what I thought....it's a shame, they really should offer you a discount if you already have 50% NCB. Quite unfair actually, cause if you have a accident in the car with the 50% NCB you still have to declare you had an accident, which will up your premium on both cars but you can't use NCB on both cars...win win for the insurance companies

Silver_blade Turbocharged May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 By right, your NCB will be zero...unless you decide to not tell the truth and avoid the current insurance co...which is illegal.

Decksurgeon Neutral Newbie May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 Does anyone know whether you can use NCB on two vechicles registered in your own name or does it only apply to one vehicle and you have to start at zero NCB with the 2nd vehicle? Thanks have 2 vehicles registered to me. 1st one is 50% NCB. (Vehicle more expensive, newer - makes sense to have all the NCB here) 2nd one is 0% NCB. You can put 50% on both. however some companies allow splitting of the NCB, you have to check with them. for example you have max 50%. decide to split 30% and 20% on 2 vehicles respectively. hope this helps

Zakuii 1st Gear May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 (edited) By right, your NCB will be zero...unless you decide to not tell the truth and avoid the current insurance co...which is illegal. this is incorrect. when i changed my car, the NCD remains. It follows the insurance, not the car. Edited May 17, 2007 by Zakuii

Silver_blade Turbocharged May 18, 2007 Share May 18, 2007 That's if your NCB is intact and no claim has been made. But in the case where you have made a claim, but decide to sell your existing car and get a new one before the insurance renewal.....what I said could work tho it's illegal and not fool proof. Guyver 1st Gear May 18, 2007 Share May 18, 2007 Does anyone know whether you can use NCB on two vechicles registered in your own name or does it only apply to one vehicle and you have to start at zero NCB with the 2nd vehicle? Thanks Very simple ..... NCD/NCB follows the insured .... on one car .... at any point in time. If let's say I got 50% NCD ... and can use on many cars ... then I can literally start selling my NCD entitlement liao right? So if you were to get 2nd car .... will need to start from 0% for the new car. ↡ Advertisement
