Hi all,

 

 

I am driving a Terios Auto for a month liao.

 

Generally, I am happy with the pick up (I know the pick up is damn slow but still acceptable)

 

But I am more concerned with the overall speed and RPM.

 

When I'm driving 80-90kmh, the RPM is around 2300~2500

The moment I hit 100kmh, the RPM is 3000 and above.

 

I heard from my colleague that his Fit hits only RPM 2500 when he's at 110kmh

 

Is there any legal mod to increase the speed to 110kmh and still maintain a reasonable RPM around 2500-3000?

 

I tried being light footed but in vain. Oh yeah, I drove a manual previously so I'm a crap with autos

it is not possible to change your rpm at a certain speed because the gear ratios and the final drive ratio are fixed. just enjoy your ride

manual doesnt mean the rpm will not be high at a certain speed. same still applies i.e. the gear ratios and final drive ratio. Unless you change the gearbox or the final drive...

 

My previous Honda's ride also has higher rpms than normal. At 100kph, the rpm was ~2.7~2.8k if I can still recall. Other than this, the ride was very enjoyable...very torquey, FC very good too.

hi..the RPM at 90kph should be around 2600 to 2700rpm...the gear ratio should be fixed. Check out www.rushteriosclub.com. There is guys that claims after doing some grounding the RPM becomes 2100 . I am very .

Unless u change your gearbox, it cannot be changed.

 

But u can try your luck on the sponsor's little red box(I'm not the salesman ), it may or may not work well.

 

IMO the 4 speed AT is a bit outdated. They should have the 5speedAT to make it more respondsive to drive and the final gear to run at lower rpm to make it more FC friendly.

 

If your car does not have electronic controlled throttle, being light footed have little effect.
