On expressway you can't even see the vehicle from opposite direction due to all the greenery being planted at the center of the eway, what more to see them high beam.

Hypersonic

This is happening in SG. I was doing delivery in woodlands and a few high lorries/truck started high beaming from the opposite direction. True enuff, Further up I saw a TP with speed camera. I returned the favour next time round when I saw a TP from the opposite side.

But frankly if it's road block checking for drunk drivers, I wouldn't high beam to warn them. They deserved to be arrested.

Bro i really think that you are newbie as this method had been use in s'pore to inform others and me myself had encountered a few before. You can ask those seasoned driver about the high beam thing and they will tell you TP ahead of your direction.

sadly, most of the drivers, including the TS, do not know of such longstanding "agreement"... [thumbsup]

In fact, try doing it in S'pore and you get funny stares or distraction to the driver opposite, but that is if they notice the highbeam. [:/]

Cannot one lah ..... on NS highway .... when you flash your headlights at a car in front .... which is a M'sia car ... they'll signal left and give way .... but when you do that to a S'pore car .... they thought you challenging them .... [laugh][laugh]

Yup, problem is SG driver is being horn or highbeam they feel offended, but in some countries that i've travel sounding the horn is like a friendly greeting.

Actually SG also have....but mostly it's taxis and buses who flash to warn oncoming drivers of speed traps or roadblocks ahead. Have personally experienced a few times. They will keep flashing, ya at least 3 times.

But it's true also...SG drivers are a sensitive lot towards high beaming. I would probably think twice about doing this bcoz the front driver would be thinking that I'm trying to find trouble with him. [sweatdrop]
