Optra aircon rocking sound

Hi

 

Need help.

My Optra a 2006 model.

With the Aircon AC and fan (speed 1) turn on. I can hear soft rocking sound from under the glove box.

But with AC off and only the fan on. No rocking sound.

The blower and aircon gas was checked by SA at 1K serving and report was normal.

 

Is this Normal for Optra?

Any one have the same problem?

my optra also exactly the same prob except that mine is more of a humming noise. bought around the same time as yours . becomes more noisy when u hit the pedal

yes, the sound (humming or soft rocking) will change with the increase in RPM.

 

where the sound come from? AC compressor or blower?

 

All Optra have this problem?

 

It seem that with AC on and fan speed 1, the blower does not spin fast enough and thus sound is given out.

Once AC off the fan on only, blower can draw more electric, spin faster and no sound.

i dun think all optra haf the same prob as this is my 2nd optra n 1st one no such prob. the technical explanation i really not sure. i asked starsauto alexandra to check but as usual they dun find anything wrong... asked me to go back to UBI
