Kieran1975 1st Gear May 14, 2007 Author Share May 14, 2007 which HU has a better sound quality? do you know what is the street price for the TX5500W?
Slonez Clutched May 14, 2007 Share May 14, 2007 The street price is around $1400 with install. My guess is that the Pana is better than the Clarion. There's a review in the US where they compare many high end HU. They score the the Pana even higher than the Denon DCT-1, Naka 700 & US version of the HX-D2. Kieran1975 1st Gear May 15, 2007 Author Share May 15, 2007 Hi Bro, I'm currently using my stock HU (P4850), Cheap 2 channel AMP (given by a friend), CDT CL62 component front speaker and a active pioneer sub (those that place under the car seat). If i get the Pana HU, do you think it's necessary to change my 2 channel to a 4 Channel AMP to drive my componet speaker? How about my sub? Need or no need? Pls advice.... Thanks.... Slonez Clutched May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 First & foremost, the Pana is a pure deck, there are no crossover, EQ or TA. You'll need to run an external processor if you need those features. Why not join us for our weekly meetup tomorrow night & you can check out all the bros system for more reference.
