No problem bro! Frankly I am just stating my opinion only.

And I do agree with your take. very likely to drop and then

stay about the 13K level before another panic buying or

selling :)

I dun think COE will drop as Garment has reduce the Quota. After July it will stay at around $15K+- after GST 7% increase.

$30K also consider low as compare to $100K ( did it hit $100K before? ) [laugh]

My car is $30K COE one [shakehead]

Mine COE 32K 6yr+ ,just changed recently.

Personally not much advantage even though got good coe

So I assumed linear depreciation car use 10 yrs.

Old one depreciate $5000/yr (base on current value - parf in 10 yrs)

New one depreciate $4400/yr (current price - parf in 10 yrs)

Both assume car 10 yr no body value

So about $600/yr and $1800 till the end of 10 yr (old car)

So it is difference $1800 + repair cost for the remainding 3 yrs as car still in good shape and never give problem b4 in 6yr service (not much advantage in changing I believe)

New car who knows 3 yrs time may start to give problem?

So I think depends on current ride condition.

I had a COE car, could have gone on for a year or so, but couldn't wait, so got a new car, taking high loan in the process, with long tenure. So gotta wait some time before I can think abt changing car. Think there will be some bros who can identify with this.

Turbocharged
i am one of those people see COE rise from 5k to 16k still havent buy my ride.

Don't worry, you can still buy second hand, from the owners who bought them at $5k COE.

Some such owners need to sell their car as they need to go overseas for assignment/postings.

For me, I am looking at upgrading to MPV, so it is slightly diff.

The new car depreciation anytime higher than my current ride even my car car has $30K COE [:/]

Yah, I guess a lot of people are stuck with high loan or long tenure.

Like I said before, I should have a option for people who can not change due to car too new or high loan.
