Vit4wd 1st Gear May 12, 2007 Share May 12, 2007 People in their 30 or older will change as they been thru those super high COE. Abt 8 yrs ago a Honda Civic SIR cost $133k! So now even at this COE price it is still acceptable. Beside this grp of people have more earning power so make is easier for them to change. Cars may be cheaper to buy but are now more expensive to run. The ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) fees will kill you. ERP fees alone, from the suburbs to town (eg. Ang Mo Kio to Shenton Way) can set you back by S$10. But this is a fairer system. You pay only when you drive. So many people can afford to buy cars and keep them at home to admire. ↡ Advertisement
