Astralee 2nd Gear May 2, 2003 Author Share May 2, 2003 anyone tries this product before? is this the product that gives a blowoff v/v sound??
Sins Neutral Newbie May 2, 2003 Share May 2, 2003 Yes, I just had it installed about a month ago on my 316iA and the fitter told me to expect some blow off sound but I don't hear it. Anyway, this thing works. I already got improved fuel consumption and much smoother throttle. After that, I installed Splitfire spark plugs which made the car's kick down response improve ten fold whilst at the same time still maintaining its improved fuel consumption of about 10%. Not very cheap though, just over $200-00 for a bloody small device. Cheers.
Astralee 2nd Gear May 2, 2003 Author Share May 2, 2003 wah. really dun seem to be cheap... where did u get it from?
E36UDM Neutral Newbie May 2, 2003 Share May 2, 2003 Have not tried it but it does produce blowoff sound which might not be audible for continental cars which are better insulated. You can check out the treads at delphi forums. http://forums.delphiforums.com/cartorque/m...es/?msg=12382.1 http://forums.delphiforums.com/bmwsg/messages/?msg=5556.
Sins Neutral Newbie May 2, 2003 Share May 2, 2003 Got it from Juzz4cars who specialises in BeeEmms. Very friendly people who wash your car after it has been serviced or repaired. Go to Ecoteks website kindly provided by E36UDM (as always) and read all about it. No bull sxxt product. Cheers

As for the magic it do, yes. it safe fuel improve throttle. however, if you car is heavily mod, then you need to retune your car ecu if it have one. btw, it's limited to max 2.6l engine. that's why it is named "ecotec 26k"
