Neutral Newbie

Hi guys, considering getting a lower priced jap made car to get from pt A to pt B.

Looking at Honda City, Toyota Vios, etc.

Understand from the threads the new Vios is tomyam made a priced rather high close to the Altis. Btw, is the City still made in Jap? Or should I consider the Sunny, whose model seems quite dated and not made in Nippon oso?

Any idea what are the going prices or trends in the markets for such lower end cars? ie new lower end models coming out etc?

Thankks!

City also from thailand now? Rem reading threads a few mths back its from japan.. wow.. wat a difference now..

Did consider the Latio, if i rem the price is around 63k for auto? Is it worth to get the sports ver? The reason why im asking as such is because by adding abit here and there, the price will exceed the tomyam made Vios by quite a considerable sum wouldnt it?

yah... comparing the both of them, the latio seems a lot better... esp the headroom... :)

actually the price is quite competitive... comparing the sedan version... and there's some promotion going on for the latio now... can just pop down to test drive the various cars and you'll notice the difference...

the price difference are not really great... as there's three different grades for the vios but the latio, not considering the sports version is only two, the normal sedan and the premium...

Cheapest made in japan cars are lancer and sunny manual version. Also manual cheapest maintenance and FC.

True, did consider it too, but it isnt made in japan too right, and the interior feels rather small, although its 4door. Have driven a 2 door new beetle before and the hassle of entering by the front to the cramp back seats really v tiring in the long term...
