Can someone give comments on the car body of the 1.6 Lancer or cars in the same category. Are there also as many struct braces available for Altis, Sunny, Latio, Avante, Subaru TS, Focus, Civic, Renault, Opel, Peugot etc.?

Are the car bodies in the 1.6 category, really that weak or is it Lancer only?

By installing all the struct braces for Lancer, does it only make Lancer on par with other cars.

Those established manufacturer, e.g. Cusco, Greddy or Tanabe, they at the most make Front and rear upper struct, rear lower tie bar, and under brace for high end cars.

Summit makes 7 strut braces for 1.6 Lancer CS3.

1) Summit (Front) tower bar

2) Summit (Front) bottom (2pt)

3) Summit (Front) bottom (H subframe)

4) Summit (Front) bottom (L/R)

5) Summit (Rear) bottom (2pt-short)

6) Summit (Rear) bottom (2pt-long)

7) Summit (Rear) tower bar

ans: Depends of the demand, generally, Altis, Vios, Lanser, getz, sunny have more than those conti car as SG is full of these car model...

not quite undestand your question but basically, these bars helps to reduce the body rolls and improved your car handling compare to the stock car without such upgrades. To compare with each individual car... guess only handful members can answer your question as no so many people drive all the car made you mentioned...

is this a question? or info?

can install as many as you wish.

but honestly what's the point? if you want a stronger car, why don't u buy a car that comes with a stronger and reinforced chassis?

as manufacturers, if got ppl buy, they make. how much it really helps, god knows.

2) front bottom brace (from mazda premacy)

The way I interpret it, TS is not asking how many struts should he be installing.

TS is wondering why there are so many struts available for Lancer.

To put his words in another way...

Less aftermarket struts available for other models = Other models don't require so many aftermarket struts to have a strong chassis; and...

So many aftermarket struts for Lancer = Lancer requires so many aftermarket struts before it can be considered to have a strong chassis; so...

Does this mean that Lancer's chassis is generally weaker than most other cars in its class?

Correct? [;)]

other brands like Cusco, Greddy or Tanabe are very good but probably they make a few types for high end cars. I don't know whether they have any for 1.6 Lancer.

I also don't know why Summit make so many types for 1.6 Lancer

maybe 1.6 Lancer is really weak so people want to buy then they make

Not many people can afford those car. Even evos and sti is on full brace or strut. so u mean those car doesnt need one?

whether it a bull sxxt car or a high performance beast. they still need strut to do wonders.

well said!! My opinion is install bit by bit. From the front strut bar, lower front, lower rear tie/strut, etc to feel the difference. If there is no improvement to your handling, then something MUST be very wrong either with the driver OR the parts... [laugh]

evos and stis don't need that many strut braces to maximise their potential, the regular front/rear struct and arbs will be sufficient, even then the weight compromise must be taken into consideration.

honestly what are the chances of taking a 1.6 lancer to the track that require such rigidity(7-8 installations)?

Bro, don't worry la. I think maybe just got the market so they manufacture. After all, Lancer has always been a well-known 'modders' car'. [:p]

Install anti rollbar to stabilise the car during cornering. smile.gif

I think Lancer already comes with rear anti-roll bar since last yr. [:)]
