just wanna check.....does any of the A5 owners experience mist-up of windscreen when the aircon is on?

I just collected my car today n when i on my aircon, the lower part of my windscreen misted up!!! if i de-mist, the aircon is almost cut off...is this normal for A5?

If it is not normal, i will send it back to CA fo rectification.

Hi,

I have this problem too, and it is due to the air vent in front of the dash, under the windscreen.

Apparently although even the demister is not turn on, there will still be a small amount of air flow from the vents directing at the windscreen. The extreme in temperature then causes this condensation outside your windscreen. Understand from other vrs owners in briskoda that the flow is normal.

Currently i'm setting the temperature at 22, to prevent condensation.

Likely to bring this up, when i send in for my 5000km service 2 weeks later

Went to CA in the afternoon and talked to the SE. He had agreed to get the mechanic to look into this matter for me, after the mechanic arrange for an appt.

I setted it at 22 but the whole lower part of the windscreen still fogged up.

Will let u know the outcome once the problem is rectify.

Quite a common problem on most conti rides. Happen to my previous Peugeot 206cc and my pal's BMW and Saab. Yeah, they also fix the problem on my 206cc by blocking something in the front vent.

Funny thing is that this problem seldom happens on Japanese rides.
