Seller "sell" his car on onemotoring using his SIngpass and entered Buyer details. Buyer received SMS and can login to onemotoring to Accept the transaction using his/her Singpass. At this time you be prompted for payment of Transfer Fee $25 (and/or road tax). Choose Credit Card and the process be like any Credit Card transaction online Expand Thanks. What if the seller is selling the car with the balance of road tax (say 3 months) before the next renewal? With the old practice, the LTA officer would ask if the road tax to be transferred to the buyer or seller gets the refund at the counter. ↡ Advertisement

Seller cannot take it back unless car is scrap then got LTA refund. Seller normally worked out their sum well which factor in the balance road tax. Often seller sell when their road tax left a month or less..

Or bring cold hard cash.

That means it requires your singpass and 2FA in order to proceed. You do not need a driving license to transfer.
