Escksu Clutched February 26, 2012 Share February 26, 2012 Sometimes, it may be your wheel alignment going off rather than PS. Cause wheel alignment does affect how fast your wheel goes back to neutral (straight) position and how much it will turn when you turn the steering wheel. ↡ Advertisement
Escksu Clutched February 26, 2012 Share February 26, 2012 Hello! This is my first post (sorry for digging old thread up, but new member cannot start new thread? so i decided to dig this up) I just pass driving few days ago. I drive my dad's car today (nissan march (96)) and his power steering has already gave way. As a new driver, it is really a challenge for me to drive without power steering. I heard from my dad the entire pump has already gave way and this old car doesn't have anymore of the power steering spare parts. Any brother here can help me? I'm looking for the entire power steering for nissan march, 96 version. 2nd hand can already. Oh ya, just to add on, the car's clutch (as compared to my instructor's lancer GLX) is too soft and sometime's it feels like that it is not depressed. The brakes too! There are slacks on the brake and it takes me to press it down nearly all the way to get the brakes. The brakes aren't responsive. Sometimes it just feels like there isn't any brakes unless u press it all down (which leads to me becoming so close to the car infront.) However, my dad say he just replaced the brake pad. Is this just a matter of familarising the car? Thanks! Some clutches are like that one. Varies with cars. However, if the clutch is too soft, it can also indicate that the Master cylinder leaking or giving way soon. My previous car kana once. Lost the clutch as master cylinder seal gave up. Need to call tow truck.

Dqnizer Neutral Newbie February 26, 2012 Share February 26, 2012 Just a minor suspicion......does your dad really loves you? My dad love me but not in the money sense. Him: It can DRIVE. It can move. It can brake. Me: OMG THAT IS DIFFICULTY LEVEL 80 FOR NEW DRIVER.
Dqnizer Neutral Newbie February 26, 2012 Share February 26, 2012 The driver is more serious than the car . Sell away the car before he get involved in accidents. I believe we need your co-operation for everyone's road safety. And yes, I'm the one who will co-operate and make things done here! HAHA
Dqnizer Neutral Newbie February 26, 2012 Share February 26, 2012 Looking at the fault lists, I would strongly suggest that you give top priority to brakes and clutch. If normal brake service to bleed trapped air in the brake circuit cannot solve the brake problem, brake master pump may be defective. At the mean time, drive very carefully, and leave more front gap, especially going down ramp and highway. Well, I wouldn't say is not responsive, but if compare, i would need to press at least 1/2 down to get those brakes. But it does the job and will bring to stop if zham all the way down. Sure jerk 1. haha. The problem is when i press down, the car become hard brake. If press abit, i don't feel the brake at all But my instructor 1 is, press slightly or rather a slight tap the car do produce a little brake effect. You don't need to go must to bring the car to a stop. IDK if it is me or the car? So where should I start? And how much will it cost to fix those brakes and clutch? Can intro good place to me to check all ?

But he have been using it for years and is used to it. For me, i just pass 4 days ago leh. When I park his car, DAMN XIONG. train muscle. HAHA.
