How to tell real or fake tweeter?

Anyone bought DLS tweeter?

Hi Bro,

There are fake DLSs in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, China, Hong.Kong, Japan, Taiwan R.O.C. and The Philippines. The copied products are the speakers UR6S, UR36S, PS6, amplifier Ultimate A8 and probably Iridium 6.2. However, it appears that you are taking about just fake tweeters?? Check this url for details

Check liao leh...mine one wire not so red...but understand from my installer my wire is thicker from what he experienced

If I were you, I will not be too concerned about just wire not so red or wire is thicker or thinner. These to me are not issues.. The cone speaker construction and the imprint on the speakers/tweeters are more important details to examine to determine if they are fakes or not.. What is your model of your DLS? is it part of the models that are prone to fakes?

Becos in the link provided. On the tweeter displayed, the only way to differenciate is the tweeter wire as shown. So I can only use the wire to judge.

 

My model is the U6.2

I could not find the pix you are taking about (the wire different colour)

If that is the case, you should go back to your 'seller' or 'installer' to clarify.
