Juz like some opinions on what cars that are worth buying with this budget.

Will prefer cars which offer comfort and power at the same time.

Get some QQ with different colour and you can drive any one of it on any day depending on your mood. [thumbsup]

hyundai azera? [laugh]

boasts to compete with the BMW 3 series.. but seldom see many on the road.

and waste money on the road tax? Frankly, the azera is nothing to shout about. but that's my own opinion.

Well like I said I wld prefer Jap made cars. Auto/comfort/power is a must have, since I ocassionally travel to KL with my family members. Would prefer Sedan. IMO the previous cefiro offered lotsa leg room for the front and back passengers will prefer something like this if possible.

Get camry or cefiro. Your budget 90k should not expect too much power though. Those car can cruise so driving should be a breeze, performance wise should be adequate.

if u like comfortable jap made cars, its difficult to look beyond Nissan Cefiro. huge leg room, very safe car (had an acquaintance whose Cefiro had a very bad accident, car totally written off, but both driver and front passenger walk out totally unharmed), refined and handles well.

The only i dont like is the rear centre seat... its not much of a seat at all. So, if you are only travelling with 4 person (incl driver) most of the time this car is good. otherwise, consider the thai made camry. It is a good car tho made in thailand.

Mark X.

Confirm it is a powerful car with 2.5L V6 engine (same as IS250 but at least 30k cheaper) and also confirm that it is a very comfortable car.

If you want more power than MarkX but less comfort, then WRX auto at 85.5k.

If you want more comfort than MarkX but less power, then Camry/Cifero.

Legacy GT is at 110k if you can up your budget.

If you are looking for Conti car, then how about 407?

Or you strictly must buy from AD?

The price you pay for the petrol for Mark X will rip your pants off.

tested CX7. In the first 2 gear, the realtime Fc can read

83-88l/100km for the first gear and 42-45l/km for 2nd gear [sweatdrop] and that's not even very hard driving.

My NA 2.0l goes between 15-23 l/km for light- moderate hard driving (1st-2nd gear)

The 4th-6th fares better. 6th can cruise below 5l/km.

So if you are stuck in a traffic jam or hauling the 2 tonner start stop in the city, you know you gonna [shakehead]

anyway even the new Rav4 2.4l gets around 7.5km/l for 40% city driving.

did u got the reading for CX-7 correct? 83-88L/100km. that means a tank full of 60 L cant event travel for 80km on gear 1? on gear 2 42-45L/km? 1 full tank travel 2 km?

i think u got your interpretation wrong or see wrong figure lar. i am actually quite interested in the figure also,

Who says Mark X FC is bad for a 2.5L V6 car? If it can attain 8km/l if drive agressively and 10km/l if drive normally, then I don't think it is that bad after all. Please go to Mark X forum to find out more before you post your comments.

We are here trying to help a bro but you maybe posting mis-leading info.

FYI... a LGT driven hard achieve only 5~6km/l with its 2.0L turbo engine.

A Toyota Picnic in real life achieve only 9km/l with its 2.0L NA engine, so does a Mark X really drinks petrol that will rip your pants off?

Mazda 3 1.6L I achieve only 10km/l, so is Mark X really so bad after all?

There is nothing wrong which what was seen in the car. The computer shows a snap shot of the fuel consumption only. In real life, can you drive your car on 1st gear from full tank of petrol till empty? The engine or gear box will blow even before the petrol finish.

When I ramp my car in 1st gear, it shows 40~50L per 100km of fuel consumption.

It is just a snap shot.

So....don't worry.

But I do agree that CX7 with 2.3L turbo consumption could be quite bad if driven hard, may be 6~7km/l ??
