depends on what you define as real.

 

If you read around, the definition or syn-oil has somewhat changed and is not indicative of the 'real' stuff.

 

Qns back to you, are you willing to pay top-dollar for the good stuff? If so, then I guess you should be looking at grp5 based oil. think Mxxtul300V is one of them.

The carrier oil is a group I. Guess this answers.

But does it matters? Even so, its more synthetic than some of the fully synthetics out there.

sorry, i have no knowledge about oil grouping. i guess the higher the group the more ex. Where do i find the info about oil grouping?

I guess for most cars in singapore, any engine oil is good enough, provided you do servicing on a regular basis. unless u driving porsche or ferrari, dun think you need any special oil.
