Boyboy 1st Gear April 14, 2007 Share April 14, 2007 I just bought a helmet for my gf as I plan to bring her to the PG track soon. Basically, one just needs a helmet to comply with track regulations, so I believe most will look at cost only. Along Jln Wong Ah Fook (beside City Square) there is a motorcycle accessory shop (further down from city square) where I bought a helmet for RM30. Complies to Malaysian PSB (ok it's not PSB but their equivalent) standards, if it matters... Compared to the helmet i bought in SG, $18 which i thought was pretty cheap already However, I must say that the bought-in-malaysia helmet has less durable lining.. but just a heads up for those interested. ↡ Advertisement

Boyboy 1st Gear May 11, 2007 Author Share May 11, 2007 haha.. i wouldn't know. but i see mid-range non full-face helmets going for 70 and up.. so u can make the estimate. u biking? if not why u need full-face helmet? potentially higher chance of breaking ur neck from what i read. this i read wrt cycling (yes there are full-face lids for cyclists) and even motorbiking. for driving, due to the extra weight, might be more likely to kena whiplash also
Brock 1st Gear May 11, 2007 Share May 11, 2007 Thank for the info. Wonder how much does a full face one costs. Any idea where to go and get one?
Chromas 1st Gear May 11, 2007 Share May 11, 2007 Depends on the quality you need. A full face normal one can cost between $60 to $120 Those fully certified ones can cost as much as $500 to $1,000. The full face helmet you see me wearing in my avatar was around $700. It's an Arai GP-

Rainbow 1st Gear November 21, 2008 Share November 21, 2008 Hi, anyone could recommend a value-for-money open face helmet for track use? just want something comfortable. budget is less than $100. I have a full-face motorcycle helmet lying at home, but don't think it is suitable for car use. ↡ Advertisement
