Cheap Helmet for those who wanna go track!

I just bought a helmet for my gf as I plan to bring her to the PG track soon.

Basically, one just needs a helmet to comply with track regulations, so I believe most will look at cost only.

Along Jln Wong Ah Fook (beside City Square) there is a motorcycle accessory shop (further down from city square) where I bought a helmet for RM30. Complies to Malaysian PSB (ok it's not PSB but their equivalent) standards, if it matters... [laugh]

Compared to the helmet i bought in SG, $18 which i thought was pretty cheap already [laugh][rolleyes]

However, I must say that the bought-in-malaysia helmet has less durable lining.. but just a heads up for those interested. [:)]

Regarding full helmet...pardon my ignorance but what about those who wear glasses? Never came to my mind until now.

haha.. i wouldn't know. but i see mid-range non full-face helmets going for 70 and up.. so u can make the estimate.

u biking? if not why u need full-face helmet? potentially higher chance of breaking ur neck from what i read. this i read wrt cycling (yes there are full-face lids for cyclists) and even motorbiking. for driving, due to the extra weight, might be more likely to kena whiplash also

Thank for the info. Wonder how much does a full face one costs. Any idea where to go and get one?

Depends on the quality you need.

A full face normal one can cost between $60 to $120

Those fully certified ones can cost as much as $500 to $1,000.

The full face helmet you see me wearing in my avatar was around $700. It's an Arai GP-5

Hi, anyone could recommend a value-for-money open face helmet for track use? just want something comfortable. budget is less than $100.

I have a full-face motorcycle helmet lying at home, but don't think it is suitable for car use.
