Emperor Clutched February 20, 2008 Author Share February 20, 2008 Singapore only has the 1E version. Period. There are other versions Starlets available around the world. You must be confused with the Singapore versions. you're getting it!
Emperor Clutched February 20, 2008 Author Share February 20, 2008 the answer is no. they didn't sell the two door EP80 or EP82 either. the Starlet in Singapore were marketed as budget cars like today's Picanto. (hence why some people still look down on it today) it is not surprising that cars from that era have black bumpers. in fact, colour-coded bumpers were "luxury" options. Yes you are right, I know the Starlet is often looked down by many people. In fact in my own MSCP, I was ever scorned by a secondary school girl whose father drives a Volvo. She was unhappy that I had parked my Starlet in a "choice" lot & said loudly & scornfully "...that lousy car is so small. We should exchange lots..." Exasperated, I retorted by saying "....People who do not buy season parking & cheat on parking fees please keep quiet". The father quickly pulled her away What's wrong with teens nowadays But anyway, I love my Starlet! RESPECT
Emperor Clutched February 20, 2008 Author Share February 20, 2008 Bro, i agree with u lehz...Ever since i changed from a Civic to a Starlet, went out with different gals can see their reactions. A few times when we walked towards my starlet, the gal would be like "suprised" and can see from their facial expression that drive this kind of car must be poor When i was driving my civic, their reaction was totally different Haiz.... teens and young adults nowadays.... It actually depends on how you project your car to be.... most of them stays silent when I tell them mine's a rally car.(which it is) I used to drive a Civic too(EG5) it gets a different head turn, but still I prefer the Starlet. Emperor Clutched February 20, 2008 Author Share February 20, 2008 i never try SU before so dunno but comments i received is tat SU power not as good as weber. however tuning wise SU is much easier and almost maintenance free. so far my weber had been tuned several times by one of our bros here and it has been serving me very well. no running of settings at all..hehe. i supposed SU carb should be cheaper then weber? shiok right? UZI made the adjustments?
Emperor Clutched February 20, 2008 Author Share February 20, 2008 wat happen to yours? Timing and fine tuning is not there. The jetting too rich and overpowering but not maximised. Drove it before, its sweet on the punch but not fuel effective and power wise not fully utillised.
