any general comments abt these 3 brands?

 

prefer warm, clear, not too sharp

Rainbow is good for vocal but not so sharp as Focal..as for CDT, quite bassy and vocal that clear and warm. I have upgrade my speaker to Focal. If you want my 10/10 condition Rainbow speaker, I can sell u cheap cheap..else I will give it to my brother.

how u compare these 2 in terms of clarity..so focal is sharper? in terms of tweeter? or ?

Focal- too ex. Not so bassy though. (I personally prefer bassy and warm mid) One of the nicest tweets I have ever heard although some says too piercing. Very imaging and wide sound staging if tuned properly.

 

CDT - Defintely my preference but too rare and difficult to find. ( I looking for ES62 Gold series, anyone know who selling? I only need the mid and tweets, I using active, dont need crossover.) Now HD and Eurosports price drop like crazy bcos of this new Gold series model. Hope its tweets lives up the the standard of the mid.

 

Rainbow - I don't like it. Sounds like $100+ speakers for its $300-400 range. I believe the top range should be good, but the lower range sounds worst than normal brand like Rodek or JBL.
