Redeel Neutral Newbie April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 Haven't heard of that extra card to save on parking, but i have encountered 'free' parking/ERP before due to faulty cash card / IU before (in previous car). Does it mean that if one day they decide to track carpark cheats, people with a problem similar to mine will also be implicated? Hmm... eddie (90085584)

Icekitten Clutched April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 I think it will be difficult to prove if the drivers had the intention to cheat, or they honestly thought their IU had been read and the barrier was lifted for them to pass, or it was a technical error in reading the IU or sensor error which led to temporary malfunction of the barrier. Try_conti 2nd Gear April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 that's right ... as long as barrier lifted, we drive off liao. sometimes. didn't even check how much $$$ is deducted as long as there is a beep & the barrier goes up. the onus should be on the carpark mgmt to ensure that the barrier do not activate if no $$$ is deducted & not labelling drivers as cheats or crooks if your system allows them to exit the carpark without paying. David Clutched April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 In order to have a successful aprehension, the culprit must be caught red-handed. In this case, its circumstantial evidence if proceed to prosecute. ↡ Advertisement
