Should I change my tires?

What will the cost be around to change to better tires?

 

 

Like V8RS or GR80

if u drive normally, then stock tyres are good enough.

 

if u value safety alot, then get it changed asap.

stock tyres normally compromise grip for comfort.

 

so if u want shorter braking distance, better roadholding in wet conditions, change the stock tyres.

 

this is the safety i'm talking about. bear in mind, it comes at a price. you sacrifice comfort and the noise may be unbearable.

no lah.. i think those high performance tyres cost at most S$150-S$180 per piece for 15".

still less than S$1000.

U should ask yourself what exactly u want.

 

In forums u can only take personal opinions lightly, u have to do your own study as to what is suitable for your ride.

Sometimes it beats me that some want to change to "better tyres". Stock tyres or for that matter most tyres in the market should be good enough for average users.

 

I have yet to hear lousy tyres causing accident in Sg by normal drivers.

 

Rims may enhance the look but not tyres

 

There is no real need to change tyres unless they are more than 2 years old or 40k whichever come first or the tyres are faulty.

 

If you are one that used to speed, race, turn corners fast and zoom through heavy rain, then you should consider better tyres and change tyres at shorter intervals.

bro, "better tyres" can allow for shorter braking distance as compared to stock tyres.

 

we don't have to be a fast driver be entitled to this passive safety.

 

that itself is worth a consideration for change. :)

We are talking about normal drivers who do not tail gate, drive carefully and who brake normally .

 

If you say like dat, then, no exception, everybody needs to get the best tyres for shorter braking distance.
