It will remove your System 6 coating. Polishing is abrasive and will remove a thin layer of System 6 everytime you polish.

Claying is ok. The coating should be able to withstand claying. Claying will help to remove road tar and grim.

Strictly speaking, it depends on the grade of clay. Clay also got gentle or abrasive grade. You can expect claying to remove 'a little bit' of protection lah which is your sealant.

If you don't polish or clay, just apply sealant, its like putting makeup on your face without removing yesterday's makeup + facial oil. Unless you are talking about layering another layer of sealant within short time frame of 24-48 hours where the car surface is clean~

Just curious, why you want to add more sealant when you are already using System6?

Thought of adding more 'protection' and anyway last wk wash car after that wipe clean time noticed like one or 2 small area (10 cents size)like water seeped under the layer wipe wipe still there . . . so not sure whether my system 6 gone liao though only 2 mths old . . . so just asking general advice . . . some bros also gave me their advice too liao . .

Ya maybe but problem is after a day or so the water that 'seep' under is gone liao and no more 'water spots' in that area too so not too sure what happened [:|] . . . is system 6 a layer or protection on top of our paint work or is it just filling up the 'holes' between the molecules of our paint work ah ? ? ? That y thinking of grooming (wax / sealant) for protection . . .

so polish will not remove the layer of system 6? Still confused as got mixed advice so far . . . polish is to remove the dirt on the top layer rite but will not remove system 6 ?

That's a typical water spot or watermark. If you don't do something about it, it is going to etch into the paint and will be very difficult to remove in future. Try manually polishing it, white vinegar has also been said to work too.

Good luck [nod]

It will remove the dirt on the top layer, the protection (system 6 sealant) as well as a weeny bit of clearcoat. After polishing, remember to protect the polished area with a good wax/sealant.

Yes its less abrasive than polishing, it won't remove much sealant protection, and it won't remove any clear.

But will it be able to get rid of your watermarks? If clay cannot, try white vinegar or polish. Least abrasive method first [nod]

Do you know why metals are shiny after polishing? Because the abrasion removes a very small layer of the metal molecules on the surface to reveal the shine. Now that surface is coated with System 6. Any polishing will remove a small layer of System 6 to reveal the shine that was being protected by System 6. The more times you polish, the more layers of System 6 will be removed. [:/]

If the surface is a bit rough, just clay it will do. Apply sealant if you want to after that. If you want to have peace of mind, go for another layer of System 6 after a year. Think they charge only $50 for a 2nd coat. Check with them.
