Prozac Clutched April 6, 2007 Share April 6, 2007 Hi, my existing headlight bulbs is rated 12V 65/60W. the closest rating i can find at the stores in 12V 60/55W. would it be better to get 12V 70/65W(brighter) or 12V 60/55W(lower brightness) in this case? I dun wanna risk blowing the wires... Thanks in advance. ↡ Advertisement
Prozac Clutched April 6, 2007 Author Share April 6, 2007 another question is.. if the existing bulb is of this design Can i replace just one side with this type of bulb or must i change both sides together?
Nine_eleven 2nd Gear April 6, 2007 Share April 6, 2007 ur bulb looks like an ancient R2 bulb... might be a tungsten bulb... what car did i come from? some 1980s model?? to play safe, u can replace it with a lower rated but brighter bulb, perhaps a H4... but you can go to this site, it has lots of info, plus he sells the bulbs... http://www.danielsternlighting.com/products/products.html

Vtim 3rd Gear April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 go with the 12v 60/55w, most of the new cars are using this rating. as your ride is from the 80s, the wirings may not be able to stand the 65/60w also if you do find that the light is not throwing enough light onto the road, the internal silver coating of the headlight may be gone liao and you may need to buy a new headlight ↡ Advertisement
