super long nv come here liao. hw u bros doin. haha... thinkin of changin springs lately, but no much idea wats really the big difference between lowering springs & shock absorbers and coilovers.

becos my front rite spring has been producing some sound whenever passenger sits in it initially n when i try to push the front rite tyre down thru my bonnet, can also hear the sound. something like eeehh ... eee... eee as i push it down n up.

dun think can lower my ride further cos of my bk though the wheel arch between fender n wheel is wide.

lower spring or coilover is better for our old swift? how much will tat be. cos dun wan to spend another bomb on it. thks

coilover are more for ppl using for tracks..... more specific setups/adjustments can be acheived.

normal road use... i suggest change to lowered spring + normal absorber(KYB, KAYABA, Monroe, Bilsten) good enuff liao..

if u want a stiffer ride, then get the Koni Yellows(but IMO, they dun last long since our road are pretty wavy/bouncy) n the stupid car cannot travel at low speed...super bouncy, especially if u running 30-32PSI for tyre pressure

check ur car whether it is having any lowered spring or still using the stock spring... if u have the red or any other color other than black color spring then u most likely to have a aftermarket one liao...unless the previous owner go spray paint....

talking abt good brands like HKS, Tein...they can be serviced.... but then i dun think it'll be cheap... furthermore, no absorber means ur car up in the garage.... dun make senses also... hahaha

Yup.. coilovers stiffer than lowering/sports spring, can sit in mine to try [laugh]

Last time with koni yellows + brandX red spring, going through speed stripes was like massage chair.. thought was terrible enough, now like earthquake.

aiyah.... u only need coilovers only if u want to acheive certain setups for track use purpose.... for daily road use, its a waste having them...

its a pain to setup coil overs....

absorber can average last abt 1-3yrs... depends on how u drive n wat kind of road conditions... i got a fren who has his Tein Coilover go to heaven in less than 6mths.... whahaha
