its a station wagon so it looks big esp the boot space. basically it is the same as the latest generation corolla axio

In japan and Europe, wagon is very popular. over here not very common. the best selling station wagon for 2006 here is Chevrolet Optra Estate. Ford focus and mondeo are also available in wagon, even mit lancer evo is also available in wagon [thumbsup]

I happened to saw the fielder at sengkang road show. The interior is not as nice as airwave, boot space is slighly smaller too.

ic. i had not seen one yet. but i really find airwave boot space larger than some 1.6L wagon such as optra estate.

Bro,

Make a trip down to ubi, you can see the fielder in showroom. Here is review from other forum.

Hi all, i though of just writing a review of my corolla fielder for all. Firstly, my intention of buying a fielder primary cos i need the large boot space to hold my things for work. Was looking at the picnic however, i brought the fielder finally cos the boot space attracted me. I have not regretted since.

One thing best about the boot was the one-touch double-folding rear seats with backrests that can be folded flat with a single flip of a lever located in the rear cargo space. It saved me alot of trouble.

My car was brought without any accessories. Not even the MP3 Player or reverse sensors. I have intentions to install the bunperkare sensors and add a rear view camera.

Any guys looking to buy the park assist take note. You need white lines all around the parking lot to deploy that function. Takes about 5 mins to park. Good to impress the female mate. Not good if you need rush to the toilet as you will realize that adrenaline was brown in your car.

First looks, the car may not attract alot of people. Don't expect the JDM projector headlights. Singapore ones come with single beam non projector headlights. There's a BMW style eyelid above the headlight for the small light. The rear uses the toyota wish style button to open the boot. No key hole for you.

The front corners have curved to achieve effective maneuverability. The backseat floor hump is smaller enabling three adults to sit in the rear comfortably. Guarantee the center passenger will not look like a pregnant woman.

The factory key comes with the lock and unlock button built in like some lexus keys. Quite and improvement from before where the alarm unit is seperate. Only lock and unlock buttons. No boot or panic. You need to scream there.

Once you got in the car, you'll notice the whole layout is very much like the general corolla but much shapier. the steering wheel is a 3 spoke one which looks sporty. No fancy cubic printing on the wheel though.

My car did not come with the telescopic function. but you can raise and lower the wheel. The fabric seats are quite comfy but attracted alot of dust. I invested on a black and decker vacuum cleaner and i guess i'll be spending alot of time with them. New owners i suggest going for the leather option to save you the trouble.

When driving, you be surprised that the bonnet disappeared from view. Toyota created that to help the driver see better and the seating is is just about right. Somewhat like the altis where you have quite a commanding view. The front windscreen is huge like the new civic. The suspension is not as spaceship as the altis but still comfortable.

The gears are very smooth like the G9 corolla where there's no jerky shifting which can be felt on the altis. there's no overdrive button but there's a S mode on the shifter which i believe will excite the youngsters out there. During driving, there's eco light on the instrument panel to tell you that you're saving fuel.

Engine power wise i still have yet to really floor the car. now driving below 2k rpm for the running in. I got my car at 1km on the odometer. guess the shipping people did not "run in" for me. The best improvement over the previous G9 and altis was that this engine is much quieter. I personally drove the altis when my friend brought new and sat in each other's car to listen to the engine noise while driving.

All windows are auto up and down. One slight pull and the windows winds up till the top. Air conditioning is damn cold as per corolla standard. Sweaters are standard for all owners. The door cards have a cup holder but not much space to put your white cards to go JB. Overhead there's no lighted mirror for you to comb whatever that's left on your head. Above the mirror, there's two reading lights which is quite bright so new owners, there's no need to buy the new diamond vision bulbs. The centre console light is somewhat darker but it comes standard with the "smart" lighting where the light goes out when you start the engine or arm the alarm.

The glove compartment there's two compartments. One is the top part where it pretty useless. Good for you to stow things you need in a jiffy. the lower compartment is quite deep to stuff my organiser, IPOD, some white cards and a camera.

One point to note, the side of the car does not have door guards. so beware when you park.

I suggest, new owners to delete the option of the roof rack and go for the rear spoiler which will make your car look better.

The car feels lighter than the old G9 which i have my reserves as i travel up the KL-Sing highway often.

I currently fitted an alpine headunit with an amplifer with ipod module. Looking at curtians next with window flims.

My review may not be the best. Fellow forumers please do not flame me. I do not have any intention to spoil the image of the altis or the G9. In my opinion, toyota makes the best cars around.
