Talk for so long already...Sepang is still the one that excite me.

My only hope is that the foreign investor is willing to go all the way in Singapore.

I think Singapore investors has done the maths and deem not worth it....two years ago there was a very very confirmed track in tuas....but was scraped at last miniute.

Since when it was very confirmed ?

All are just talk only....just last year there was even talk of building Tuas Speedway....now I believe it has gone up in smoke again.

uummm this is weird... the last part...

"""It is believed MCYS is looking at the business model of the Sports Hub, where investors will be invited to bid to build and maintain the facility. Among those who are interested is Australian Ron Dickson, whose company D3 has built several street and permanent tracks, notably the Surfers Paradise Track in Gold Coast Australia and Mexico City.

The Australian, who is in Singapore to deliver a talk on racing circuits at the Grand Prix for Marketeers forum at Pan Pacific Hotel (April 3-4), has said that he has had discussions with the MCYS and other government departments and is currently doing a feasibility study on the project.""""

meaning???? last week street test is just a wayang show lar since they already know they wont go for it with the excuse like """ : Singapore Sports Council chief executive officer Oon Jin Teik feels it is critical that Singapore takes advantage of the momentum, when it wins the rights to host an F1 race in Singapore. "A permanent track is ideal because we can't possibly close our streets regularly. It is just not viable," he told TODAY."""" and track instead.. seems they are working with the track study long before the wayang show... [sly]

aiyo, now those fella at the various ministry who is earning "peanut" got to use their fingers (and hopefully brain as well) to do the sum mah.... add here add there, subtract here subtract there.... in the end, got a "healthy" positive, you will see all the lorry, truck, FT aka bangala start digging here and there.... if in the end, shows a negative, you will find the "proposal" in the shredding machine and dump into the reclaim land somewhere..... Yes..its a pity. Too many unused land everywhere.....but not willing to rent out at cheap price to private company to run a race track.

Even motorcycle dirt track are nowhere to be found in Singapore...sad sad.

I just hope Safra can built a race track instead of all the swimming pools/golf course/clubhouses. I am sure many young man will take up Safra membership and be a better rider/driver.

Maybe those elite still think bikers/race drivers are 'lower' class and mostly associates with rowdy and hellish character.
