If i never remember wrongly, you can try bending the barrier back... but you might break it in the process cos it is not exactly that flexible....

U shouldn't have admitted your fault. Should hv argued that the security let u pass but as u passed, suddenly the barrier came down on ur car since u mentioned that it was coming down... That way, u can also claim damages.

HELLO!! if you made a mistake, you should be man enough to admit it. Do you think it is fair for the security guard to pay for you mistake?? What if the security guard is your relative?

Even the barrier still working after bending it back, hundreds of mouth living there would strongly oppose to it. Guess their condo management has no choice but to replace with a new one, + labour costs.

Pray they won't bill you. [sweatdrop]

What a farking ass**** you are [rifle] !

Right here in a public forum, you are advocating dishonesty ...... [hur][hur] at the expense of some poor security guard ...... yes, as someone has already posted - bad karma will come full circle .......

btw, these guards earn very little...somemore with cpf..their pay can be less than operators...

Tsk tsk.... wrong recommendation. [shakehead]

You shd have ask him to go to any other car park at nite and remove their barrier..

Then return it to the condo as compensation. [laugh]

i believe if the damage is not so bad, maybe can try to knock back..but then they surely wanna a new replacement

Believe you might not be at fault in this cause,in my view. There should be a ground loop to prevent this from happening. And if the barrier is supposed to prevent car from going in, there should be a retractable ramp or bollards.

Bro, hope that the damage would not be too severe to your pocket [:(]

At least your ride is not injuried in this episode else your pocket would have burnt a bigger hole [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

My friend just paid s$600 for the barrier.

Initial amount is s$850.

Aftet bargaining, became s$600.

He did not report to the management when he hit the barrier and left the area few hrs later without talking to anyone

Dont know how the management manage to get hold of his mobile no. someone from the management call him n charged him for hit n run.
