Route88 2nd Gear March 31, 2007 Share March 31, 2007 Road tar is enemy to white car, those small dot dot road tar is diffult and time consuming to remove. Maybe can try cleaner wax instead.
Number19 Neutral Newbie April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 If you wish to buy back the same thing, I'm quite certain I saw the Waxco tar remover at Carrefour @ Plaza Sing. At least 4 or 5 small bottles in stock, comes with a small sponge. Meguiar's #21 is also retailing there, but the price is rather expensive @ $

User12343 Clutched April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 try wd40.
Decksurgeon Neutral Newbie April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 soak the aotuglym tar remover on a fingernail sized piece of tissue paper. stick that soaked piece over the tar spot. wait a while. let the tar remover saturate the spot. then see if you can remove it. if that does not work. STP carb cleaner. not exactly the type of thing you want to use on bodywork. but that removes all muck! quickly wash and polish the area after to protect the paint. if both dont work.....maybe you dont have tar spots? maybe paint spots? Adawang 1st Gear April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 tar is oil based, wd 40 can dissolve it, so can kerosene
User12343 Clutched April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 no problem, wd40 is cheap and good. spray on tissue and wipe on the stains, following by using another clean tisu and clean off the oil film.

Ngaiky83 Clutched April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 My friend tried on his car & it works... but I suggest better not use tissue unless u wan some scratch marks.. Try spraying on the tar direct & then use MF cloth to wipe off, use water to rinse off in case there's some of the WD40 left on the car body.
Mikeyeo Clutched April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 WD40 can remove those tar on your car. However, if your car paintwork is treated with Syetem-6 by Tuff-Kote, they come with a bottle of Stain Remover. The latter will remove even dry bird dropping without damaging your paintwork. I always put a bottle of the above Stain Remover in each of my cars as I do not know when I would need them. ↡ Advertisement
