are you keen to buy? or trying to gather more awareness so that owner can't sell? [:/]

Anyway, it didn't state 'accident free'. [sly]

Please do not misunderstand, I do not have such intention.

It is actually my nephew who is keen to buy. He is viewing the car today.

No dobubt it could be just coincident but usually if i see a new car selling within 1 yr, my first assumption is that it is likely an accident car. Second, due to financial problem and so on. Postive reason like owner upgrading will be the last on my mind...

I'm sure if your nephew bring you there, you have your ways and means to check out the car to see if it's involved in accident anot..

Neutral Newbie

This car is a repossessed car bought by a dealer from GE Money, i saw the car and considered buying financing was a problem cos GE Money rules state within three days of winning tender must produce cashier order. So no worries, i think this car is a good buy but can negotiate price further cos the dealer prob got it cheap.

I know nuts when it comes to verifying if a car has been involved in an accident before, esp so since this car is new and the freshly resprayed paintwork, if any, would be very hard to detect.

Can you give me your expert advice on this? [:)]

Thank you. [:)]

But I have never seen this car in GE Money's list of repossesed cars for sale.

When was this car put up for sale by GE Money?

WOW! Paper value for this car is only S$23,904 as at 31 March 2007.

Add in S$10,000 for body, it adds up to only S$33,904.

Car is advertised for S$51,800.

I presume the dealer probably got the car at a very low price.

I will drive a hard bargain later.

erm... where is the engine bay located? which part of the car?

engine bay is the place where the engine is... [sweatdrop]

basically, check engine ball walls, boot, 4 doors..

no spray-painter is as good as dipping the whole car in a pool paint..

if u see how car get their colour.. the car frame is dipped into a pool of paint.. so if u see that the paintwork like uneven etc.. most probably kena accident before..

PS: above are from the best of my knowledge..

For the front, open bonnet, check the side of the engine bay for welding seams. If radiators r brand new, its a sign also. But for COE cars, welding seams or new radiators should me a norm.

For the rear, open boot, check the tire well for welding seams n original maker's paint. No one in the right mind would wana paint the tire well as it is always clean n pretty much unused.

For sides, check the A-B-C pillars for welding seams.

Remember, factory fitted cars r welded wif robots n the welding would be even n consistent. Unlike the normal repair shop were it is welded by human.

If u have no clue of the above, get an experienced fren along to view the car.
