New Car Checklist

Just to check if any will accept a car that is manufactured and stocked for more than 6 months when/at time of registration? Do we still consider this as a new car or should we request for a new vehicle manufacture nearer to the date of registration?

If the car stock for 6 months still better than the car manufactured for 1-2 years ago. That time i have one friend bought a new car in 2015, and the manufactured date stated on the log card is 2013.

It's not uncommon, eg Subrau was clearing their 2015 stock not long ago.

You have to check the battery condition, check for rust etc.

Otherwise it can be sold as new, but with some discount.

Normally yom 2015 for registration in 2016 is discounted by 15k for conti cars. Maybe margin is larger. Good to also check for interior trim as the roof lining normally give way first. Write on the sales agreement that roof liner is not consider fair wear n tear should be Good to go.

For the benefit of those who are about to collect their new cars, I'm posting up generic new car checklist.

Some of the items may not apply to you if your car doesn't come with the feature.

This is sure to make those SE's accompanying the new owners to have a real hard time

Hey there! That's so thoughtful of you to do so. Here's something that the first time car buyers could use. http://www.billfixer.com/owing-a-car/5-tips-for-buying-a-new-car/  This blog shares tips on planning for a new car. Pretty informative, I must say.

Is there any checklist for buying new car that we need to take note? Some PI may put 4 bid guaranteed but the bid may not be continuous.

Is there any checklist for buying new car that we need to take note? Some PI may put 4 bid guaranteed but the bid may not be continuous.

This is the right thread for the car checklist, but you best hop over to the PI thread in the Jap car section to see how to deal with PIs.

My advice is simple: do your homework, and see if the risks outweigh the cons. And don't get the cheapest deal or be prepared for sleepless nights whilst waiting for your car.

All the best

Any checklist to follow when sign to buy new car with PI? Some of the questions in the checklist could be like as follow:-

(1) Price base on 4 bid?  Is this continous 4 bid? Need to state the period?

(2) Could we find our own finance & own motor insurance?

(3) Possible freebies we could ask?

(4) Down-payment what is the minimum? Could use credit card?

(5) Warranty is 100,000Km & 5 years?
