like 'someone' just said "Do not depend on one source" & get from other sources, if need to pay higher, pay & move on.

 

Someone else would be more than willing to fill the void if Indonesia wants to give up this biz .....

To me, it doesn't quite make sense for them to stop selling raw material or natural resources like granite and sand - which is abundant, and will just sit there earning nothing. Better, at least, to sell these, at least can earn some $. Maybe it's their way of hinting that they want higher price for this stuff

if they can slow our progress to build the IRs, they will.... doesn't matter if they starve their own people doing it...

Well, IMHO all this sand and granite ban actually resulted in the price hike for the ready-mix concrete which required these two raw materials and also road premix. It will need sometimes before the price are stable and the developers will need to adjust themselves to accept the increase in price and thus incurred higher construction cost...meaning they will have to pay more for current and future projects.
