Neutral Newbie

I know many european cars like renault/seat have the radiator fan 'running' after the engine is off feature.

Although the engine is not running, the radiator is still running to cool down the hot coolent. I wonder why?

Errr.... actually, my jap car will also have the radiator fan running if I shut off engine..... but provided I leave the electricals activated lah. [laugh]

It'll only do so if the engine temp is above 95 deg for my case. Once reach 90 deg, it'll stop.

should be a turbo timer ba..

Can set auto or preset countdown mode (not sure how auto mode works exactly thou)

When u turn off the ignition, the display will countdown from ur preset time, and switch off everything upon 0. Its basically just a delay switch, can be override by holding the button when u need to shutdown immediately.

Useful for when you need to keep the engine n aircon running (eg. for a quick stop at 7-11 or petrol station), you can take your keys with u and lock the car to prevent car theft [;)]

Can be used for NA or turbo, thou i rem reading for turbo nowadays, a cool down is not required? also depends on how hard you drive prior to shutdown.

Anyone can enlighten on this technology?I saw a Evo and lancer ralliart turbo having such technology? Is it OEM or can be installed somewhere?

Is it the turbo timer?? Actually it'll help to further cool the TC and engine at idling rpm. U set the timer to delay the shut down.

If your car is N.A., it is a waste of $$ and fuel. [:p]

Its a waste of $$$ even with a TC car. light footed driving for the last 5mins is all you need. All the timer does is encourage heatsoak.
