Actual calculation still remains the same, but applies an 8% discount.

I believe it starts 1st July.

Don't worry, I also believe they'll refund should the current road tax goes beyond July.

Eg. if a car is 2378cc = $2117

$2117 x 8% = $169.36 savings

 

Eg. if a car is 1799cc = $1249

$1249 x 8% = $99.92

 

Not sure if my pri 6 math is good or not.

So, if u want greater savings,drive a big cc car laugh.gifsweatdrop.gif

mine 1584cc road tax i paid last yr is $938/-

so 8% saving tis nov i'll pay $863/-...

tats a savin of $75/- can have decent KFC meal every day for a week... unimpressed.gif

 

radio license got 8% discount boconfused.gif

Reduction in Annual Road Tax

 

The annual road tax for cars and motorcycles will be lowered by 8% with effect from 1 September 2007. The road tax for cars and motorcycles currently comprises two components, viz. the Passenger Car Unit (PCU) component for the use of road space and the progressivity element for social equity considerations. The changes are made such that, in principle, the PCU component of the annual road tax for cars and motorcycles remains unchanged.

I checked with LTA and told me that it will commence in July 2007.

mine is $74x0.08=$5.92, can have a burger set... [laugh]

My car cc is 1584, but still pay $138 lei. Why yr one $74 nia. How much is the cc ?????

 

$60+ diiff can top-up one full tank...... [sweatdrop]
