Dlar2 Neutral Newbie March 19, 2007 Share March 19, 2007 i have been considering both models for a long time. since is my 1st car, i dun wish to make any rash decision as buying a car now a long term choice, not say wanna change then change if u dun like it. i need some advices, i am very new to cars, i have been riding bike for the last 9 years, now its time to get a car. I plan to get a car that have some performance plus able to mod the body kits etc, but my budget for installments is not over $650 per month. on top of that, i will wanna change to my dream car after 5-6 years later. here are some of the comments abt the cars i heard: HONDA FIT 1.5 Vtec MT:- Pros - supermini with some performance (8-9 sec 0-100km/hr) dun need on mod much on performance fuel consumpstion due to its light weight. more durable than lancer. many exterior and interior mods. Cons - Very Expensive, around 59K - 62K for a small car. spare parts are expensive also. PI car, after sales service might differ. Mitsubitshi Lancer 1.6 MT:- Pros - more affordable (basic model at 45K - 47K) interior seems nicer. many interior and exterior mods. AD car, aftermarket service and spare parts more easily availble. Cons - performance will be a let down (still can mods till as fast as Fit but spend $$$ and risk of being caught) not as durable as HONDA. These are the inputs i gather from friends and relatives so far. I mean no offence to anyone driving any of the tha A/M mention car. Will like to have some help from ladies & gentlemen here for advice about their choice above. All comments and advice are deeply appreciated THANKS!!!!! Take a look at Colt Ver R. ↡ Advertisement

Watwheels Supersonic March 21, 2007 Share March 21, 2007 Actually u have a lot of choices other than these two. If u really have to choose btw the two. Choose the one with the higher OMV. Or u can always wait for the new Lancer.

Fondue Neutral Newbie March 21, 2007 Share March 21, 2007 Between these 2, I choose Lancer because its much cheaper and its from AD. Honda Jazz/Fit is not that great a car anyway, I've driven it for awhile in Australia and I feel so vulnerable sitting inside. And as I'm not familiar with the PI industry, being old fashion, I'll rather not take the risk with them. Anyway, buying from the more reputable and financially strong PI is not that much cheaper either. If I were you, I'll get the lancer and save the extra cash for my dream car. Zigen_79 Neutral Newbie March 21, 2007 Share March 21, 2007 been riding since 1998 , as bikers m really glad to have kaki here ,did the right tg by asking first , back to the point , either car u b having would strongly advice u to get a second hand first 2 to 4 yrs omv car is the best , throught ur post tink u flavor honda more , put it this way, to get a car is like u say quite a long term commitment , i would rather spend a little more each mth to go for wat i like then to ,get 1 and keep thinking of getting rid of it after awhile hope u make the right choice

Jonny_ Neutral Newbie March 21, 2007 Share March 21, 2007 (edited) I'm very new to these car stuffs too. I would cast a vote for lancer since its cheaper and you're not getting a dream car until 5-6years later. I would say, save the excess $$ and get your dream car. I'd rather mod my dream car than a temp car so that i'll enjoy it better if i were you. Votes Lancer. Edited March 21, 2007 by Jonny_
Zigen_79 Neutral Newbie March 22, 2007 Share March 22, 2007 hmmm... no lar not pratical if to get a car and try save for a better 1 , wat i mean is if the dream car price is not that much of a difference then maybe save awhile longer , futher more our bro here have a bike , it be better if can save abit more y not really since buying 1 is already a waste , then not y waste on something which can make own self happy ... agreed?
