my s40 makes a fairly loud knocking sound whenever it goes over a hump too quickly. SM motor said that its anti-roll bar is bend. wonder if it is the bush that is worn? the problem with volvo is it is not that easy to get parts information (unlike BMW). have you fix the problem on your car?

yep, the front ARB is the culprit. it's a common problem on S40s. had mine replaced under warranty.

as i have planned to change to a T4 soon, it is alright for me not to change the arb?

when u changing to T4? if confirmed and car not under warranty, dun bother then. once u get the T4, u may hv to visit SM to change it again....

Hi,

Any idea how much it cost to change the anti roll bar? Mine have this problem, so thinking of changing too.

 

Also, i keep hearing "eeeeeee" sound when in the car, like sitting in aeroplane cabin like that. Any idea if it is normal?
