I always keep my ride objects free as much as possible and that include the dashboard.

Be sure to move your pad around and not keep it at the same place for long.. otherwise, you really have to keep it there permanently

It's either you buy a car with enough air bag or drive carefully so that you minimize the use of the air bag..

 

BTW, seat belt is still more impt than air bag... and I feel that side airbag is more impt than front given that there's crumple zone to fend off the impact but for the side, it's the head against the window.. door still got side impact beam
