Bad day today. Got involved in a chain collision. I was the third car. 2nd car langa 1st car. I managed to brake in time and stop totally, but bloody cab from behind smash into me at high speed. My car move forward and kinda dented the rear bumper of the Sunny in front of me (2nd car). Cab was badly smashed. My spare tire and tailgate were badly damaged. A Proton behing the cab was also badly smashed. Both the cab's and Proton's engine bay totally smashed. The front of my car was alrite except for a broken license plate and some minor loosen parts. Last car was a cab who couldn't brake in time but not seriously damaged.

Luckily I managed to stop in time and hold on to brakes cos there was a pregnant woman in the Sunny in front of me, so she was alrite.

2 cars stopped by, and out come 2 workshops' employees. One of them approached me. I was quite in a shock and agreed to let him handle for me despite remembering some suspicious stories about them online. Went to his workshop and he promised to settle everything for me without having me to fork out a single cent. An agreement form was given to me to free me from any liability should they be unable to do a full 100% claim from the cars behind (Very confident of the workshop) and my insurance will not be affected. Even got a rental car to use which he will charge to the claim. What do you guys think about this workshop?

Sounds too good to be true man.. and also, u said something about the suspicious stories abt them online, isnt it pretty clear that the front car might be their friend?

This is why insurance premiums are so high. This ppl are know as ba kia(crocs). They go around waiting for accidents to happen and then pounce on the shocked victims. They earn high commissions from workshops and where do you think the high comm come from? The workshop jack up the price on the repairs and bill the poor 3rd party. Anyway, hope you are alright.

Insurance claims amount are getting higher n higher every year, thus insurance premiums also rocketted. We're indirectly affected when that happens.

Go and see a doctor just in case...

Last year, a cab slammed into the back of my car. My wife had a detached retina from the whiplash and it was not discovered until 3 days later.

when i repaired my car at a workshop last sat, i told them i will not sign anything except to acknowledge im taking their courtesy car. after repair, car delivered to me. and i did not need to sign anything. they will bill the other party for it.

2 scenarios for u. 1) workshop will do own damage claim first and if they cannot recover enough, there goes your ncd. 2) clause that states u are liable to reimburse workshop should claims be insufficient. i saw this in some workshop agreement form, it is at the bottom in fine print. comfort delgro have it on the reverse side of their agreement paper.

bro u may not be bounded by tt signed document because as u stated it was in a state of shock if document signed under distress and pressure the contract is voidable. not able to full claim from cars behind is full sxxt as you noe the recently landmark case involving NTUC. how the lady signed and say yes i was wrong to e-brake cos never put cash card i absolve the rear car of fault. yet NTUC fought and won and claim rear car.

I would say go to your AD and file under the Insurance section and let them handle. also go get a medical report. u may claim for medical expenses too. not difficult to prove that u had stopped in time - no tailgate if (1) the sunny in front says that yes saw u brake n stop already no impact until few seconds later. (2) the damage on your front is indicative of low force (hence F=ma low speed) impact.

Dun be cheated of slipshort yet expensivce work or having fork out. bro take care of tt health monitor for impact induced injury k? good luck

This is scary if it is a "plan" accident. If it is a real accident, how can they appear so fast?

Turbocharged

how long before the workshop vehicle appeared?

if they appeared within 30 minutes, then there is a reason to be suspicious.. [knife]

got check with the first/second car driver any reason he e-braked? possibly a staged accident [shakehead]

ya, like the other bro said, what's the workshop name?

It happened to my mother once too... Better be careful abt these ppl... IMO, too much of a coincidence, it's rare in sg to have ppl to stop to help in an accident, what more workshop employees... [furious]
