Nutty 4th Gear March 8, 2007 Share March 8, 2007 Reported on the Chinese evening papers tonight. One uncle drove his Toyota Estima to a petrol station in Yishun. The receipt showed that 75 litres of petrol was pumped into the 65-litre capacity fuel tank. How could that have happen? Sometimes, it's good to check your receipt. ↡ Advertisement

Nutty 4th Gear March 8, 2007 Author Share March 8, 2007 The report never mention which brand. But there is a picture of the receipts. One thing that I can confirm. It's not the "E" brand of petrol.

Icy2fire 2nd Gear March 8, 2007 Share March 8, 2007 actually on 28 Feb, I went to pump full tank even though I travelled only around 90km since my full tank in jb and they pumped in 11plus litre. this works out to less than 8km per litre....much lower than my average of 10.5-11km/litre was wondering whether the fuel meter was not accurate as i was expecting to pump only 9litres max...... Tploh Clutched March 8, 2007 Share March 8, 2007 Similar cases were reported in Hong Kong newspaper too. The chain involved ( Exxo ), apologized that their measurement instrument in the petrol guns were not accurate. So, drivers beware.
Icy2fire 2nd Gear March 8, 2007 Share March 8, 2007 damn...i hope it's not true as i pumped at that company as singapore attendances do not pump to the brim, i was expecting around 6-7l only...when i saw 11+ litres, i thought that maybe the attendance help me save money by filling to the brim but even so...i shd be able to squeeze in only around 8-9l
Kb27 Supersonic March 8, 2007 Share March 8, 2007 Maybe the Toyota driver paid for someone else's pump. I always check the litres pump vs the receipt. ↡ Advertisement
