Yes, seen and heard this car...not very popular. Not only is the roof low, it's also a 2 door vehicle...must be a pain in the ass to get into the rear seats. [sweatdrop]

New Honda Crossroad Revealed (JA) Source: Honda Motor Corporation

February 22, 2007

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced the release of the new Crossroad, an automobile which transcends existing categories by combining the design and functionality of an SUV with the convenient size of a compact car and the 3-row seating and 7-passenger capacity of a minivan. i felt that the Forester had a v good proposition which is applied in this new Honda, ie having the ht that pp like and yet "low" enough not to drive like a 4WD SUV, hence the Crossover category, or the name "Crossroad". it was also referred to in the new Carens II as CUV. But the interior of the Forester does look very dated...

aside the boxyness, i do like what the Crossroad offers, well at least its an improvement over the old style 3-box shape? i know many pp will not buy a van looking car ... hehe

IIRC it stood for High Riding Vehicle. There was an interesting ad about some guy wanting to wash a HRV at a traffic light, ended up being drenched when the HRV driver took out a water hose and sprayed at him!

There was quite some publicity then...

HRV stands for ' Home Runabout Vehicle', apparently a newly conceived concept by Honda on combining work and play...

Neutral Newbie

The HRV really stands out from other cars during that time, and quite a few of my friends were quite keen to buy it. But COE was high then, and KM also price it at a premium, so end up nobody buy.

I am also one of its admirer too [inlove][laugh][laugh]
