May I ask a question here. I notice AutoGlym is selling a product call "Tar Remover". Is this the same function as Clay ? Does this means that I can use this Tar Remover in replacement of Clay ? TIA .....

Product Benefits

Easily removes minor scratches, swirls marks, tree sap, paint overspray and embedded dirt and stains that ordinary detailing clays leave behind.

Since it is in liquid form..I wonder how it works to remove grit blasting..which is commonly encounter when parked near to shipyard

Creates smooth as glass finish on all paintwork, fiberglass and metal surfaces.

Does not contain harsh abrasives that can scratch or scuff your finish.

It states does not contain harsh abrasive..scuff off finish but can remove minor scratches and swirl marksconfused.gif

My pick will be the traditional clay bar.. laugh.gif

Although I did not buy but out of curosity, I picked up the Turtle Liquid Clay Bar and look see look see. There is three layers seperation in the liquid and need to shake 'to activate'. According to the content, a layer is cleaner, a layer is lubricant and the third layer (which settle below the two) look very fine particles that mentioned to remove embedded dirt and stains.
