Im guility of sitting inside the car with engine and air-con turn on for 30mins to 1hr.....a few times a month. Without moving off. Sometimes its for reading newspaper or even having a short lunch nap.

Will this damage your engine in the long-run or its just a case of fuel-consumption or wear-&-tear on certain parts of the car.

Can any bros enlightment me..... [confused]

Engine fouling & carbon build up, engine damage due to Heat sink effect. Guess, you might fine it more effective having a coffee at the cafe.

Bro, think it would be jus the usual wear & tear but i believe that you should do your oil change at maybe 1K or 1.5K earlier [:)]

However, with prolong running of aircon during stationary think will clog up the radiator [nod][nod][nod] Have heard this somewhere back but mai shoot me if it is sala hoh [:p]

Think carbon would build up too .... [:p]

Try not to do so in the long run [;)]

in this case of driving under severe conditions, servicing would be required every 5k.... [sweatdrop] waste money! [thumbsdown]

for me, while waiting for my OC, i would switch off the engine and wind down the windows in the carpark in school... her friend's SO would continue to on the engine, and sleep inside with aircon running... just like you [sweatdrop]

reply correct person, but target wrong person.. [laugh] referring to hippo...

for me, when i need to wait for someone say more than 5 min, i will just switch off engine and wind down windows.... [laugh] like i need to wait for my OC for her school to finish, i will park at the carpark and switch off engine...

on engine, waste petrol, spoil car, might get carbon monoxide poisoning [sweatdrop]
