Genes 6th Gear March 5, 2007 Share March 5, 2007 Hi guys. Am considering the above 2 cars for a 2 person family transport. As far as I know they are about the same price (78k +-) but otherwise quite different in design and execution. Owners of both cars kindly post your objective views with regards to the pros and cons of each car so that I can make an informed decision. I know this forum would be heavily biased towards the Civic , as am I. But I would just like to get a general idea of what I may have missed in the brief test drive of both cars. Also, if anyone has a better suggestion of a car that might be a good alternative and priced about below 80k, please raise your suggestion. All views are and will be greatly appreciated. Genes 6th Gear March 5, 2007 Author Share March 5, 2007 Because its the only 2 cars we have tested so far. Because our family only 2 members. Also because of this, I have asked if there were any other cars that might be worth a mention. TY

Genes 6th Gear March 5, 2007 Author Share March 5, 2007 I asked both SEs.. Opel actually quoted the higher range of OMV.. body value wise.. yea I guess a Honda would have a higher body value. But lets say we intend to keep this car for its max of 10 yrs.. common thinking would suggest the civic would last. Not too sure about the Astra tho.. decisions decisions.. Route88 2nd Gear March 5, 2007 Share March 5, 2007 Decision is still yours,no matter what ppl vote.
Zoom99 Neutral Newbie March 5, 2007 Share March 5, 2007 If you talk about keeping for 10yrs, reliability is the kep factor. Civic defintely surpass conti car. Spare parts would also be much cheaper Frankly speaking, nowadys I doubt many would keep any car for 10 yrs.
