It seems to me that the COE prices is manipulated by the dealers and its a ploy to get the COE down so as to "create" another car buying frenzy. [sly]

with so much demand, think the COE sure go up...maybe around $10k. Saw in yesterday's papers, the rebate level is set at 9K for some makes. Car dealers will prob bid higher for the COE liao.

Cannot trust these people. Last year, coe 9k said to be the lowest coe in recent years. This year 5k. After this round, demand will gradually tapper off and the coe tumble again. [:(] Just like 2006. [sly]

Media is manipulated to create a buying frenzy. If not, AD & PI how to survive???

Look at the way our news presenting the COE price, for an increase/ decrease of say $400, they report it as if very drrastic change. wtf is a few hundred dollars for a 50K+ car ???

Heard my mum mentioned that two of my uncles decided to cancel their car purchase because the last three days they lost big time on the stock market.

So I guess, the demand will be controlled this time round by the stock market conditions.

Which means...maybe after 4biddings..after this peak demands has being met....the price will start to decline once again.
