What really causes Wheel Spin ???

hi all...encountered this in my friend's swift sport yesterday..slight drizzling..stopping at traffic light...want to test new mods....Rev rev abit....try to move off....at ard 2.5rpm...wheel spin like siao ting tong.....engine jerk....then slowly pickup instead...lose to SBS bus at left lane...MALU BIG TIME....

 

can anyone tell me what really causes wheel spins??? is it that the torque too much for the car???? alloy wheels too light??? tyres are crappy??? car too light??? any help is appreciated...

some modern technology is good too...

 

the old school is [thumbsup] in relative to durability, simplicity in maintenance (ie more mechanical rather then technological) and room for mods... [:p]

Yeah. But I'd rather go for the mix of modern technology as well as the mechanix of old school technology... the combination will be great!!! [drivingcar]

I read that causing ur tire to skid on wet will cause more damage to the tires. Drive safely on wet and on dry chiong ar...

Clutched

Condition of tire is one thing.

The sudden intro of torque is another.

U can spin ur wheel at 2nd gear too(if ur ride is manual that is)

rev high and clucth have release totally then engine will lose power when the clutch is release fully.
