AYE Massive Jam this morning 01/03/07

Anyone knows how serious is the accident? I entered at AYE Clementi from PIE, and stuck in jam already. Heard from radio that only right lane is passable, and accident site is from Alexandra exit and tailing back all the way to Teban flyover. I guess many people were late for work today. I was.

I was stuc at Teban flyover. Took me 90mins to reach office

I heard from my colleague a car was very badly smashed ... till cannot even tell what car it is .. chances is a Jap made .. that was what he told me ..

So there was an accident yesterday. No wonder all flocked and use PIE, and caused super jam just at the exit of Toh Guan.

Escaped it by using normal road to get to work...

Damn jam was super bad.

 

Standard route is Toh Guan to Clementi then AYE. Jam was so bad that the Q started in Old Toh Guan Rd...then I switch to Upp Boon Lay towards IMM (get on AYE from Jurong Town Hall instead of Clementi Ave 6)....jam also bad. From the fly over, can see that the trucks were not moving at all !!

 

Then decided to get to work in town from Pasir Panjang Rd...so drove to Teban Garden and kenna stuck inside the jam for 30mins...only reach the west coast circle then the traffic cleared up....

 

Arrived late in the office by a whopping 45 mins !! Wah lau....

Did anyone see the accident .. wonder the drive is ok and any idea whcih made is it from?

Yeap, i think it shd be quite bad.

 

I 1st heard abt the accident (AYE towards city near Alexandra) from the radio at ard 7.20am+. Told my wife abt it & she said shd be cleared by the time we leave for work ard 8am. Nope, no chance. I still hear from radio the jam's still bad at 9am+! Took us almost 15min to get into AYE via Clementi Ave 6. I then exit at Ave 2 & took Commonwealth Ave to drop her off at NUS then went by Pasir Panjang to ECP. Slow moving all the way. Late for work ard 40min+!

 

Passed by the stretch this morning. Saw the fence at the left badly twisted. Hope the accident victims are okay...

yea.. remembered how late i was to work due to dat accident..

but all in all, i rather be late than ppl having serious injuries, so the moral is, better drive safe, even though u r in a rush
