too late liao........got the Stilo MS 2.446L 20V 5-inline engine. Power is very addictive.......though the 2.0L twin spark engine/exhaust note is equally addictive. [cool][pirate]

Interesting to find another webby on the Fiat Stilo Abarth Rally........this time using the 1.8L engine. [cool]

Check out this webby:

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/1262/Fi...arth-Rally.html

Derived from the Stilo 1.8 16v version, the Stilo Abarth Rally has been revised to meet international FIA Group N standards. The engine power of 1747 cc has been increased from its initial value of 133 bhp to 157 bhp, developed at 6900 rpm. The transmission system now consists of a single-plate metal-ceramic clutch while the gearbox is still the standard 5-speed (plus reverse) unit with the addition of frontal engagement and closer ratios. The laminar differential is self-locking.

The suspension has also been modified in some of its parts and can come in two configurations: one for asphalt and the other for unsurfaced roads. The Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs with height-adjustable shims at the front are racing-specific.

The braking system consists of self-ventilated front discs and standard rear discs with a driver-controlled pressure regulator. The handbrake is hydraulic.

The Stilo Abarth Rally body comes with a roll-bar and homologated FIA cage, fire extinguisher system, racing seats, 5-point seat-belts and battery disconnector. All components meet current rally racing requirements. The Punto Abarth Rally deserves a place of honour amongst the sports versions.

Btw, issit same as the Punto HGT engine ? [confused]

they call this tuning:?

"The Prodrive developed GP kit, which is a UK fitment, consists of front and rear road springs manufactured by Eibach, Bilstein front struts and rear dampers, 7 x 18" OZ Superturismo alloy wheels, low profile 215/40 ZR18 Continental Contisport Contact 2 tyres, and a stainless steel rear silencer with twin outlet pipes.

The kit has been created to produce a more sporty car, both in terms of looks and driver involvement, and is designed to appeal to customers seeking exclusivity in the 'hot hatch' market. "

You can do it locally , even better and cheaper but classier since PRODRIVE usually comes with a premium.

i kind of agree with you.

when i read the part that said "a unique UK-based chassis development programme", i thought it involved prodrive making enhancements to the chassis, which is one of the best ways of improving the handling of a car.
