Seeking expert advice here as lazy newbie and also not into detailing. Just want to have a simple shampoo application for fortnightly wash and hopefully, give some shine and/or protection.

I note there are wash & wax shampoo being sold (currently using the 3M normal car shampoo). Are they any good when compared to ordinary car shampoo?

Saw an old thread about such shampoos and note that it causes the wipers to jutter when used to wash the windscreen though that can be removed by another washing of Mama Lemon.

If there are good brands around, can recommend? TIA.

Bro, try not to use those 'Wash & Wax' shampoo [:)]

Like what you have said it will cause your wipers to judder and will 'DEFINATELY' not removable by the use of Mama Lemon [nod][nod][nod]

Jus use those normal car shampoo without wax composite and then layer a sealant/spray wax over it. It would at most take you another 20 mins for the whole ride [;)]

Neutral Newbie

Best still is not to wash the front windscreen with shampoo.

The judder issue will be eliminated.

I can't really understand the reason(s) behind.

I'm using the JW products from Bro Gen2 [:)] It's quick and easy [nod] Protection is there despite kena-ing a few heavy downpours [:)]

Another [thumbsup] one is the Meguiar's Tech Wax (Spray Type) [nod][nod][nod]

A very good one is Meguiar's NXT shampoo. 2 litress at abt $19.00. It does not have wax but polymer substance. I am using it to even wash my rims n dort is easier to remove because after washing it leaves a thin film of polymer on the paintwork. It is also gentle on PPS. However, like any car shampoo, if it flows over yr windscreen, u need to separately wash the windscreen with things such as MAMA lemon so that wipper do not judder when they swipe.

Like that ah. Now I even wash the windscreen with 3M car shampoo. One thing whack the whole car, including rims when I feel like it. So far no juddering for wipers yet. But I note your advice.
