I believe 2L and 2.3L will still be available, especially for Singapore market.

 

Well, we are the only in the world with such high roadtax tagged to the capacity of cars...and exponentially somemore...

 

Can only envy those countries who can drive big & powerful cars at low price and road taxes...

Time to buy the current mazda 6sp. Before it becames 2.5L or 3.5 =

 

Now more cars have to meet the stringent euro emission standards. There's only 3 ways to to that:

 

1) Alternative energy ie, fuel cell, electricity(hybrids), hydro, natural gas.

 

2) Spend more money on engine development to make them more fuel efficient and burn more cleanly.

 

3) Increase the engine capacities to meet the standards.
