is it fair to say that if my SE sends in my documents now for finalisation, my car's registeration number will be higher than the above eg. SGR9895x, SGR9896x etc?

or can still be a number smaller than the "Highest Vehicle Registration Number To Be Automatically Assigned"?

Actually, no... according to my past exp, this number is not tat accurate. U could end up with a number +- 2000.

That number should be the highest number the system will auto assign up to. Which mean number less than SGR9894A

The prefix from LTA states that "As of now, the highest possible vehicle number to be automatically assigned by LTA will be displayed on the next page. Vehicle numbers ranging up to this number will be randomly assigned to vehicles that are registered during this period."

 

That should explain it.

All left with numbers beginning with 6,7,8,9 only. 2 digits and 3 digits are the first to be bidded and gone FYI.

Ya lar, wat i meant is only left the 4 digit numbers beginning with 6,7,8,9 to be assigned. The rest all assigned and taken up already for SGS.

So u mean after the bidding excercise is over that that series of number (eg. SGR), the remaining 2 or 3 digits will be randomly assigned to others?

So theoretically, once SGR9XXX finished assigning, the next would be SGS XXX then SGS 1XXX.

 

Am I right? so the car that are registered the next few days would get SGS XXX

its not gone.... just closed for number allocation....aka not for bidding.......
